The Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce is hosting Young Irish Professionals—an after-work meetup built for connection, ideas, and momentum.
While designed with young professionals in mind, this event is open to all ages, bringing together Generations X, Millennials, and Gen Z for cross‑generational connection and conversation.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Conor Nash
Conor Nash is a current Irish AFL player with the Hawthorn Football Club who has built a reputation for resilience, adaptability, and professionalism throughout his journey from Ireland to elite Australian sport. A highly touted schoolboy rugby union player, Conor relocated to Melbourne at 18 to pursue a professional AFL career, successfully transitioning to a new sport and culture while establishing himself at the elite level, with 129 AFL games across 10 seasons to date.
Off the field, Conor is in the final year of a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Finance at Deakin University, combining his elite sporting experience with a strong passion for leadership, high performance, and the financial world. His unique background gives him insight into high-performance environments, teamwork, preparation, and the mindset required to adapt under pressure.
Alongside football and study, Conor is actively involved in mentoring and coaching, including volunteering within school football programs in Melbourne. Known for his authenticity, work-ethic and personable nature, he brings a thoughtful perspective on leadership and balancing professional sport with life beyond the game.
