Our Speakers

Bríd Stack is a former Cork Senior ladies footballer and current AFLW player with the GWS GIANTS. Over a phenomenal twelve year period with the Cork Seniors, Bríd and her teammates won 11 All Ireland titles, 9 Munster titles and 10 National League titles. In that time, Bríd also won 7 All Star awards, was named Munster Player of the Year in 2012 and was named Overall Ladies Football Player of the Year in 2016. Most significantly, the team was awarded RTE Team of the Year by public vote in 2014. After seventeen years of playing senior inter-county football for Cork, Bríd announced her retirement in January 2019.

A PE and maths teacher for over 10 years, Bríd, her husband and her brothers in law, set up their own sports and health supplements company called MyCore Supplements. This venture has given Bríd a renewed energy and drive towards achieving success, albeit in a different avenue, but with the same principles instilled in her from her sporting career. Bríd and her husband Cárthach welcomed their first child, Cárthach Óg, in October 2019 and in February 2020, the opportunity arose to pursue a professional career with the GWS Giants AFLW team in Australia. What followed was an unforgettable 2021 season with many ups and downs but memories to last a lifetime.

Sarah Rowe, at only 25, is already one of the most remarkable achievers in women's sport, and she's only getting started. She represented Ireland at underage soccer, through to her Full International Cap in April 2015. She played in the European Finals in Norway and reached the Semi Final losing out to the Netherlands. At the same time, she played Gaelic Football for Mayo from school through to the Seniors, including an All Ireland Ladies' Senior Final in September 2017 where she played in front of 47,000 people (at that time a World Record for Ladies Sport).

In 2018 she joined the professional ranks of Collingwood's AFLW team and has taken the competition by storm. Sarah is an Ambassador for Lidl Ireland, a Sporting Ambassador for the 20x20 Campaign in Ireland and a Brand Ambassador for Puma, Kinetica and Volkswagen.
