The IACC annual Spring Racing corporate lunch in Melbourne, on the eve of the Cox Plate. Featuring industry experts, tipsters and representatives from the international stables taking part in Melbourne's Spring Racing Carnival.

Our famously enjoyable Spring Racing Lunch is back again for another Carnival. Welcoming our International visitors and comparing them to the best of our home team, we will enjoy insights from racing personalities and some of the best tipping going around - as anyone who was there last year will confirm with O'Malley & Sweet Sherry ensuring early collects for our guests.

The name on racing fans lips for Spring 2017 is Winx. The superstar mare is going for her 3rd consecutive Cox Plate win and we are excited to say that Irish Australian Christine Bowman, Hugh's wife, will be there to give us some insights on what it's like to be on the inside of Team Winx. Christine has a strong background in horse racing herself. From Kilkenny, Christine first arrived in Australia with Dermot Weld in 2003, later returned as a backpacker and starting riding at Randwick. Christine can tell us what happened between now and then on the day and we might even have a surprise guest dropping by!

Joining Christine on the panel is Adam Sangster, Principal of Swettenham Stud’s Australian operations, based in Nagambie, Victoria.

Swettenham Stud traces its origins back 50 years in the U.K. with farms in France, Ireland, England, America and Australia with operations run out of The Isle of Man. Swettenham has bred and/or raced the winners of more than 160 Group 1 races around the world, with the significant involvement over many years of legendary Irish trainer Vincent O’Brien and subsequent co-founder of Coolmore Stud with John Magnier.

Adam arrived in Australia in 1991 to look after his family's stud farms in NSW & VIC and took control of what is now Swettenham’s Australian operations in 2003 and has guided it to a top tier position in the breeding landscape. Adam’s international racing outlook was further underlined in 2015 when the arrival of Toronado– a grandson of the legendary Swettenham stallion Sadler’s Wells - signalled the start of a partnership with Al ShaqabRacing, owned by Qatar’s Sheikh Joaan al Thani.

Back again this year is Caitrin Kelly's fashion advice to ensure we are all looking on trend this Spring Carnival. Newly-wed Caitrin included a racing fashionista's pilgrimage to Royal Ascot en route to her wedding earlier in the year so will have great insights on the European style coming our way.

Tickets include a two course lunch and 3 hour drinks package. A perfect start to your Cox Plate weekend!
